To add devices, use the Add Device tool and follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Inventory page. In the Device Endpoints pane, select the plus icon (+) to display the Add Device dialog box.
  2. Supply identifying information for the device you’re adding. Required information includes device name, IP address, hostname, and a short description.
  3. Add location information for the device. Required information includes city and country.
  4. If you want to permit use of Remote Access credentials for access to this device, select Allow Remote Access Credentials.
  5. Select Submit & Add Connections to display the Associate Connections dialog box.
  6. Specify connection points by selecting access application type from the Type selection list. Connection types include SSH, RDP, VNC, HTTP, and HTTPS.
  7. Add a name for the connection.
  8. Set the port for the connection in a port in the range of 1 to 65535.
  9. If you use SSH or RDP, File Transfer is disabled by default. File transfer enables clipboard use and file sharing between the computer and remote connection. To enable it, in Configuration, toggle File Transfer to Enabled. (For information about using the clipboard or sharing files, see Using File or Text Transfer.)
If you are using an RDP type connection, Wallpaper is also disabled by default. Wallpaper provides a default background for the connected device login. To enable this feature, turn it on in Configuration.
If you use SSH, RDP, or VNC, Authentication is disabled by default. Authentication allows you to store the credentials of the remote connection. To enable it, in Configuration, toggle Authentication to Enabled.
If you are adding an HTTP or HTTPS type connection, in Configuration, supply the URI path for the connection.
    • Also, in Configuration, supply the subdomain for the connection; it is part of your Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN).
  10. To add more than one connection, select the plus-sign icon to display the Associate Connections dialog box with a new tab. Repeat the process to add another connection.
  11. Select Review to review your connection information before submitting it.
  12. Select Submit to add the connection(s).

After you’ve added a device, the device information appears in the Device Endpoints pane. Select the plus sign next to the Device Name to view more details, including the device’s full name, IP address, date created, and APP/Port.
